John Lilly
John Lilly is the President of John Lilly Strategic Insights, LLC, where he provides strategic advisory services to private equity funds, investment banks, and companies across consumer-driven industries in the US, Europe, and Israel. He is also an active early-stage investor through Lateral Capital Management, LLC, with investments in over 50 companies spanning sectors such as tire management, fundraising software, transit payment solutions, and LED lighting for agriculture.
With over 27 years of experience in consumer products management, John built more than 50 branded businesses during his tenure at Procter & Gamble and as CEO of The Pillsbury Company. His career includes leadership roles overseeing iconic brands like Pampers®, Pringles®, Cheer®, Folgers®, and Dawn®, and culminated in his role as President of Pillsbury North America and CEO of Pillsbury worldwide, leading the company through its sale to General Mills in 2002.
Following the Pillsbury sale, John shifted his focus to investing and advising, sourcing opportunities directly and through various angel and accelerator groups. He has provided strategic, operational, and investment guidance to firms such as Calera Capital, TPG Capital, Goldman Sachs, and Centerbridge Partners.
